Overview

This one-day hands-on workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of Generative AI and practical Prompt Engineering for business productivity. The session begins with the basics of Generative AI, Large Language Models, and how prompts influence AI responses.

Participants will learn how to create better prompts for everyday workplace tasks such as writing emails, summarizing documents, analyzing information, creating reports, generating plans, preparing presentations, extracting insights, and working with structured outputs like tables and JSON.

The training is designed for business users and focuses on practical usage rather than deep AI theory. Through guided exercises, participants will compare weak and strong prompts, apply modern prompting techniques, and build reusable prompt templates for common business workflows.

A final capstone activity will happen at the end of the day where participants will apply the learned techniques to a business productivity scenario.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what Generative AI and Large Language Models are
  • Explain what prompt engineering means and why it matters
  • Write clear, structured, and reusable prompts
  • Use prompt frameworks for business communication, summarization, planning, and analysis
